Ministry Assistant

Hours: 30 hours per week (Split between RBBC and The Heights Tutoring Ministry)


Job Description: The Ministry Assistant works Monday through Thursday. Monday and Wednesday are devoted to RBBC Ministries, and Tuesday and Thursday are devoted to The Heights (A tutoring ministry of RBBC that meets on our campus). The candidate must have fairly advanced computer skills including the ability (or willingness/aptitude to be trained) to use ACS Church Database Software, Microsoft Products, and email. For RBBC this position assists the Children's Ministry Director, Youth Pastor, and Worship Pastor, as well as occasionally answering phone calls and covering the receptionist area. The Ministry Assistant serves weekly on Sunday mornings as an administrator, assisting the Children's Ministry Director as needed. The Heights duties include ACS data entry, organizing student packets and class rosters, occasional bus riding, answering phone calls from schools and parents, preparing the end-of-year slideshow including taking photos, as well as assisting with family events and fundraisers throughout the year. This position requires attendance at Board of Directors meetings, but does not include being on the Board of Directors. Ideally, a person working this position would attend church at RBBC, but this is not a requirement.


Note: As with any church position, paid work often overlaps ministry, so time sheets will not always reflect the actual number of hours spent supporting church ministries and events. Some evenings and weekends will be required.
