Here at Rocky, our desire is to equip people to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and to spread the love of God into our community and around the world. Whether you are just looking into the claims of Christianity for the first time, or have been a follower of Jesus Christ for many years, you will be welcomed and accepted here.
How Do I Get There?
We are located in Niceville, FL on North Partin Dr. (Hwy. 285), about a mile and a half north of the intersection of Hwy. 285 & Hwy. 20.
What Should I Expect When I Arrive?
If you will be attending Rocky for your first time, we encourage you to stop by our Welcome Center "The Hub," which is located in the foyer of the main Worship Center. Our friendly greeters can help direct you where to go from there and answer any questions you may have about the Worship Service, Sunday School, Life Groups, and other ministries of Rocky.
What is Your Service Like?
Here at Rocky, we seek to bring honor and glory to our Lord in all that we do. Our Sunday Morning Gathered Worship Services typically run about 90 minutes and include both worship through song and worship through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word. We are unabashedly committed to Bible-centered teaching and preaching and Word-driven worship. Sermons are usually expositional (verse-by-verse through books of the bible) though we occasionally conduct a short topical message series.
In addition to our Sunday Morning Gathered Worship, we schedule a monthly Sunday evening service with various focuses that include worship, prayer, ministry and mission updates. This service is usually scheduled on the second Sunday of the month.
What Should I Wear?
Most of us wear casual clothes at our services, although some of us dress up.
We'd like to think you will be as comfortable in a T-shirt and jeans as you would be in a suit.
Do You Have a Nursery?
Children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend the worship service with their parents. As an option, we also provide nursery care for infants through preschool during all regularly scheduled worship services. Your children's safety is of the utmost importance to us. Our nursery is staffed by caring volunteers that have all submitted to background screenings and nursery training. Parents are provided with a number for their children so that if your child needs you during the service, their number will appear in red on signs located in the front of the main sanctuary. A nursing room is available for moms who need to feed their children during the service. The nursing room is located adjacent to the ladies restroom in the main foyer area.
We are following CDC guidelines, and reservations are required for childcare at this time.
What Version of the Bible Do You Use?
We believe that God has preserved His truth through the various translations, and while we do not place any particular importance on a specific translation, we typically teach from the English Standard Version.
